Annual Field Trips

J.J. Hill Montessori and the Axolotl class have been taking an annual walking field trip to 2 Scoops.

We generally take this trip every year towards the end of May.

Each child and adult who attends gets a single scoop in a cone or a cup. But which flavor?

2 Scoops always has at least one Dairy Free Flavor per day and MANY gluten free options. We usually have anyone with a nut, gluten, or dairy allergy go through the line first to avoid cross contamination.

It's generally a fun trip full of laughs, ice cream, recess, sunshine, and more recess.

Generally, we take donations up until the day of the trip. Everyone goes through the line and then Mr. Peter pays for everyone with a credit card.

It's a lot faster than each of 26 children individually offering up their cash.

The cost is $6 per child for the single scoop (and tax). Please consider making a donation in the amount of $6 or more. Venmo is preferred but cash (no coins please) will be accepted.

The upcoming dates for 2025 are:

May 21st: 2 Scoops Ice Cream

Then Mr. Peter's class for Wednesday, May 21st  from 1pm - 1:30pm.

May 30th : 3 classes of E1 will walk to the Michelle and Barack Obama Montessori School. We will have a brief Q & A with one of the construction site managers about the new building, have recess on the new Obama Montessori playground and then return to our current building.

12:30pm - 1:30pm ( the Q & A session would be at 12:45)
