What is it?
It is a test designed to evaluate SCHOOLS and SCHOOL districts by evaluating students in grades 3 - 12.

What it isn't:
It should not affect a student's report card, grades, permanent record nor be used as criteria for any academic decision regarding individual students. The test is taken in March and April of the school year. In general, the results are not readily available or helpful to teachers, students, or their parents until the child.... has already progressed to the next grade level in June.
Standardized tests begin in 3rd grade and continue through 12th grade.
